PalmThe Government has asked the promoters of the manual disseminated by the platform Menys turisme, més vida this Friday to rectify to prevent any incident related to the sabotage actions proposed by the document against businesses linked to tourism. For now, it sees no reason to report this manifesto to Justice because no incident has been registered.

The vice-president and minister of Economy, Finance and Innovation, Antoni Costa, said that the position of the regional Executive is that "the people and organizations that have produced this manual should rectify and no regrettable events should occur".

The vice president has reiterated the position maintained by the Balearic Executive since the content of the manual became known and has recalled that the Government maintains "the utmost respect always for any peaceful demonstration", such as the one called for July 26, but rejects "absolutely" any incitement to violence or attacks on shops and businesses on the islands.

Limit of tourist pressure

Costa has assured that the Executive shares the diagnosis that the Balearic Islands have reached the limit of tourist pressure, although he has stressed that this situation cannot justify actions against companies or establishments.
