The PSIB denounces Pedro Bestard to the Prosecutor's Office for the controversy of the official cars
The socialists consider that the second vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca could have used the institution's vehicles for private trips and request documentation from the Prosecutor's Office regarding journeys, fuel, and maintenance

In the complaint, the socialists consider that the facts attributed to Bestard could constitute embezzlement of public funds, ongoing, prevarication, and document forgery. The socialist group accuses Bestard of systematically and repeatedly using a series of vehicles from the island institution for private use and exclusively on some occasions, which generated expenses for gasoline and other consumptions for these uses without authorization.
In the complaint, the PSIB asks the Public Prosecutor's Office for the testimony of the technical secretary of the Department of Environment, directed by Bestard, the technical secretary of the Presidency, the general secretary, and the auditor. It also requests copies of the files related to the use of vehicles assigned to the Department of Environment, as well as the register of journeys, fuel consumption, maintenance, geolocation systems, and any other related documentation.
The socialists also ask the Prosecutor's Office to request from the Consell de Mallorca a copy of the travel record of Bestard with the official vehicles of the Consell de Mallorca.
