In a statement released this Monday, the party indicated that concealing the face "with items not traditionally used in Spain hinders the performance of public duties and the prevention of identity theft." The councilors have requested that the legal departments of their respective town halls draft internal regulations implementing this prohibition to ensure the rule is clear and publicly available to all citizens.
