300 people participate in the return to Porrassa
This is a non-competitive event in which participants swim about 2.5 kilometers.
PalmMagaluf hosted the 3rd Vuelta a la Porrassa swim this Sunday, organized by Mar de Fons & ZEL. More than 300 people participated in this non-competitive swim of approximately 2.5 km in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere committed to the natural environment.
The event, open to both experienced and amateur athletes, allows participants to swim with goggles, a snorkel, fins, paddleboarding, and kayaking, bringing the experience to a diverse audience and fostering a connection with the Balearic Sea in an inclusive and accessible way. The event began at 8:00 a.m. with participant registration. At 9:00 a.m., the starting signal was given from Magaluf beach, and little by little, the swimmers completed the course in an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect for the sea.
At the end of the swim, the beach became a festive meeting point. Facing the Place Jacques Sasson, participants and their companions enjoyed fruit, snacks, and refreshments provided by collaborating organizations, as well as raffles, gifts, and music. As in previous editions, the event maintains its firm commitment to marine conservation: 20% of registration fees go to support projects protecting the Balearic Sea.
