The Tramuntana mountain range A new law will be passed, including a management plan to determine the carrying capacity of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and establish protections for its cultural heritage, among other initiatives. The People's Party (PP) has finally secured the support of Vox, its coalition partner in the Consell de Mallorca (Island Council of Mallorca), to move forward with a proposal that must be approved by the Balearic Parliament to become law. The document, which ARA Baleares has obtained, includes the creation of an organization to manage the emblematic area, to be called the 'Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Island Consortium'. This body will have its own staff and budget and will oversee aspects related to the management of cultural and territorial heritage, as well as economic initiatives linked to local products and the land. The 18 municipalities that make up the Serra de Tramuntana, the Departments of Economy and Agriculture, and other departments of the Consell will participate. The island institution argues that the area currently only has "scattered and generic regulations."

One of the first tasks the consortium will undertake is the development of a Management Plan with the necessary criteria for protecting the largest natural and cultural area in the Balearic Islands. The plan aims to conduct carrying capacity studies to implement regulations affecting public use, such as hiking and economic activity. During negotiations, the possibility of a fixed annual contribution from the Government was considered, although it now appears the consortium will submit projects to the Executive, which will finance the initiatives with the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS). Specific committees will be created, among which, according to sources familiar with the matter, there will likely be one focused on "finally putting an end to illegal motorcycle racing in the Serra de Tramuntana." The Civil Guard will also be part of this committee. The Consell has drafted a new law without taking into account the bill from the previous government, which was approved in the plenary session of March 29, 2023. The Popular Party spokesperson, Núria Riera, argued that the previous legislature's law would not be considered because "it wouldn't be taken into account."
