Actress Paquita Bover dies at 87

PalmActress Paquita Bover (Palma, 1938-2025) died this Sunday at the age of 87, according to local media. Her career was closely linked to some of the most memorable works on the island scene and to the figure of Xesc Forteza, with whom she worked for years in his company.

The actress's career spanned more than 40 years, a career that remained faithful to Catalan-language theatre and participated in numerous plays that combined humour and tradition. Bover also stood out for her ability to connect with her audience.

In 2010, her work was recognised with an honourary lifetime achievement award from the Association of Professional Actors and Actresses of the Balearic Islands (AAAPIB).
