Ariany buys the Son Ciurana estate and will build the new town hall
The Consell de Mallorca has financed the acquisition of the property of more than 1,600 square meters
PalmThe Ariany Town Council has announced the acquisition of the houses in the Son Ciurana estate, along with its 1,600-square-meter plot. The purchase was fully financed with a grant from the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council). In a statement, the Ariany council emphasized that this purchase "will allow us to preserve this emblematic space in the municipality and prevent it from falling into the hands of speculators."
According to the mayor, Joan Ribot Mayol, this transaction did not entail any expenditure for the municipal coffers. "We have been able to take advantage of a grant from the Consell and fulfill one of our electoral promises: to have a Town Hall adapted to current needs," Ribot emphasized, also noting that the current facilities date back more than forty years.
The City Council's goal is to use Son Ciurana as a new Town Hall, a space that will offer "dignified and centralized" services to all Ariany residents. With this reorganization, municipal services will be grouped into two large spaces: the educational and sports complex on Camino de la Garriga, and the new health, cultural, and administrative center, which will be located on Calle Sol.
"Our goal is to make Ariany a better town, adapted to modern times and with closer services," stated the mayor.
With this acquisition, the City Council reaffirms its commitment to preserving local heritage while modernizing public infrastructure.
