Meanwhile, groups linked to the platform Menys Turisme, Més Vida (Less Tourism, More Life) have reported at least two arrests by a special operation of the paramilitary corps. In a statement, they have described the action as "criminalization and repression" and have called to remain "united," while announcing a rally this Wednesday afternoon at 6:00 PM at the ramp of the courthouses on Alemanya Avenue.

For now, the Guardia Civil has not publicly linked the arrests to any specific movement or platform, beyond the investigation opened for the events that occurred in Santa Maria del Camí. The arrest occurs just one week after the avalanche of criticism generated by the publication of the action manual against touristification by the platform Menys Turisme, Més Vida, a document that provoked a strong response from both the Government and the sector's employers' associations. Despite everything, the Government pointed out that it saw no grounds to denounce the direct action manifesto against tourism.
