A body has been found floating on a beach in Cala Millor.
They are now awaiting the autopsy results to try to determine the identity of the deceased person.
PalmThe Civil Guard has recovered a body floating in the waters near Punta de Amer, between Cala Millor and La Coma, which may be that of a migrant attempting to reach the Balearic Islands by boat. The discovery was reported to emergency services at approximately 9:45 a.m. this Monday by a witness. Agents from the Special Underwater Activities Group (GEAS) of the Balearic Islands Command traveled to the location and recovered the body. The body was taken to Cala Rajada, where a judicial delegation carried out the removal of the remains. As is standard procedure, it will be transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy to determine the identity and cause of death. One of the hypotheses investigators are working with is that it may be a migrant who died trying to reach the Balearic Islands by boat. Sources within the Civil Guard have explained that during 2025 they found approximately fifty bodies on the coasts of the Canary Islands, suspected to be those of migrants.
