Check the minimum services for the Primary Care doctors' strike on January 14 and 15

PalmThe Balearic Islands Health Service (IB-Salut) has established minimum services for the general strike called by the Primary Care Physicians' Union (SMP), which will take place on January 14th and 15th. The Simebal union, the largest in the Balearic Islands, reports that they will not be participating in this strike, which is being organized by minority organizations in the region. This strike affects all family doctors and pediatricians in Primary Care linked to the National Health System, including out-of-hospital emergency services and resident physicians (MIRs) working in Primary Care or hospitals. The strike will begin at 00:00 on Wednesday the 14th and will last until 23:59 on Thursday the 15th. Regarding essential services, during the morning shift on the 14th and 15th, there will be a minimum staff of two doctors and one pediatrician, except for two other essential services. where there will be three doctors and one pediatrician.

In the afternoon shift, a minimum staff of two doctors and one pediatrician is expected, provided professionals are available. Regarding continuous care, SUAP (Primary Care Emergency Service), and mobile PAC (Primary Care Emergency Service), coverage will be 100% in all services. Resident physicians (MIRs) may not be assigned to minimum services nor replace striking staff.
