The bull, located in Algaida, is the only one on the island and occasionally mutates into different designs. In other years, it has appeared with a rainbow, claiming the LGBTI+ flag; it has also been seen painted with black and white stripes, like a prison jumpsuit, and with a name written on it: 'J. Matas', a reference to the former president of the Catalan government, Jaume Matas. Conceived as a cognac advertisement during the Franco regime, this silhouette now has legal protection from the Spanish government.
