A new plan to avoid overcrowding

Plaça d'Espanya will be the center of this year's celebrations. According to the City Council, the move is due to safety and visibility considerations: it is a recently renovated space with greater capacity and improved evacuation conditions. The Council estimates it can accommodate up to 18,000 people, a significantly larger number than in previous years.

Access and mobility: what to consider

Given the expected large crowds, Cort recommends arriving early and avoiding private vehicles. There will be traffic restrictions and EMT bus route diversions around the square during preparations and throughout the event.

Some of Palma's most photographed Christmas features remain, such as the 20-meter tree in Parc de les Estacions, the illuminated trees by Antoni Maura and Raimundo Clar, and the large illuminated sphere on Passeig de Sagrera. The Christmas tent in Plaça de Sant Cosme, a popular spot for family activities, is also still there.
