PalmThe judicial commission has suspended an eviction scheduled for Tuesday morning for two families with a five-year-old child and a two-month-old baby living in a home in Rafal, Palma. According to Stop Evictions, the eviction has been suspended, although the reason is unknown and no new date has yet been announced. The eviction involves two families with children and a woman who is eight months pregnant.

The organization has detailed that it will request a suspension due to vulnerability and will remain vigilant and try to reach a solution; if not, it has stated that it will continue to mobilize. Stop Evictions has indicated that the Catalan government has transferred resources from the Spanish government through an agreement to offer alternatives to families in the event of eviction.

In their opinion, the Executive "is not using them" for this purpose, but rather they are intended to offer rental assistance to any family and, therefore, they have demanded that alternatives be offered to vulnerable people in the event of eviction.
