"I fell in love with Mallorca, not with the Mallorcans": xenophobic remarks on 'First Dates'

Cati also confesses to being a monarchist and an admirer of King Juan Carlos.

Palm"I fell in love with Mallorca, not with the Mallorcans." Cati, a single woman who attended the program, put it bluntly. First Dates from Cuatro. During her appearance, she also expressed her opposition to the island's native language: "They've imposed Catalan, what do you want me to say?"

Asked by the program's host, Carlos Sobera, where she comes from, she explains that she's from Palma, that she participates in two bullfighting clubs, that she's a convinced monarchist and a member of the Monarchist Brotherhood, an organization that supports the monarchy.

"I was deeply in love with King Juan Carlos and Sofia," she states. She also admits that she didn't like the fact that the queen was cuckolded, but clarifies: "You can't fall out of love overnight."

"I like everything related to Spain," she says at another point. According to her, it's like you can't live anywhere in Spain and foreigners on vacation think the same.
