Ibiza files complaint against the owners of five properties for illegal tourist rentals.
The City Council found that several homes were being marketed as tourist accommodation without the corresponding license.
PalmThe Ibiza City Council has filed five complaints for illegal tourist rentals in a joint operation between the Local Police and the Urban Planning Inspection Service, with the support of the Island Council.
According to the Council in a statement, the inspections were carried out in Platja d'en Bossa, in a residential area, and were initiated following citizen notifications via the Green Line. During the operation, it was found that several homes were being marketed as tourist accommodation without the corresponding license, in violation of current regulations.
The City Council has indicated that the operation is part of the municipal surveillance campaign that remains active throughout the year and has yielded significant results. In May, it noted, complaints were filed that could result in fines of more than 450,000 euros. It also emphasized that tourist rentals are only legal if authorized by the Council.
