Illegal party in a residential area in Ibiza: "The noise could be heard more than two kilometers away."
They report that throughout the night and the following day, dozens of neighboring homes suffered from loud disco music, shouting, and constant vehicle traffic that clogged residential roads.
PalmA group of residents of Santa Eulària will file a complaint this Monday with the municipality's City Council and the Consell de Eivissa (Eivissa Regional Government) for the organization of a massive party on a property, complete with professional sound equipment, lighting, and power generators. The group of residents from an area near the old road that connects Santa Eulària with Ibiza has raised concerns about this "illegal" party, held from Friday to Saturday on a private property.
The residents have asserted that this event, called Sexy Groovy Jungle and supposedly organized by Louis Alexander to celebrate his birthday, would be repeated every year on the same dates. They have denounced that, once again, "seriously disrupted the coexistence and rest of dozens of resident families," as the party featured a set-up "fit for a festival, with noise audible from more than two kilometers away."
"Throughout the night and the following day, dozens of neighboring homes suffered from loud nightclub music, screams, and constant vehicle traffic, which clogged residential roads and prevented families from getting rest," they alleged. They also stressed that, despite numerous calls to the Santa Eulària Local Police and the Civil Guard, who were dispatched to the scene, "they were unable to reduce the volume or stop the party," which left them feeling "completely helpless."
The neighbors have made videos and posts on the alleged organizer's social media available to the media to try to demonstrate the magnitude of the party and confirm that "it was not a private gathering, but an organized, large-scale event."
For all these reasons, they have requested an immediate investigation, exemplary sanctions for those responsible and the owners of the property, preventive action to prevent this event from recurring in the coming years, and strict enforcement of regulations to protect the right to rest of the affected families.
