PalmThe Inca City Council has begun renovation work on the drinking water reservoir at the Les Monges pass. This project aims to ensure the proper functioning of this strategic infrastructure for the municipality's water supply. The contract has been awarded to Obras Comas Beltran SL for €259,906.21 (VAT included). The total construction period will be five months, although the repair and waterproofing work inside the reservoir will be completed within a maximum of one month to guarantee the municipality's water supply at all times.

The project includes various rehabilitation and improvement works to address the structural issues detected in the reservoir, particularly watertightness problems caused by cracks in the walls and deterioration of floor slab elements. Specifically, structural repairs and waterproofing of the reservoir's interior will be carried out to ensure the quality of the water intended for human consumption.

Technical Rooms

The works include the adaptation of the technical rooms for the pressure groups and chlorine regulation systems, as well as improvements to the interior courtyard and various areas of the site to optimize the operation of the facilities. Furthermore, the project also includes work on the exterior of the reservoir tower to improve its integration with the landscape, especially considering that the site is located near the Serral windmills. In this regard, disused elements and installations will be removed from the façade, and the existing antennas and telecommunications equipment will be reorganized. Basic Infrastructure

With this project, the Inca City Council is making progress in improving and modernizing the city's basic infrastructure, with the aim of guaranteeing an efficient, safe water supply service adapted to current needs. The drinking water reservoir at the Les Monges pass, inaugurated in 1982, has two water storage facilities. On one hand, there is a semi-buried tank with a capacity of 1,200 m³ and a height of 4.10 meters; and on the other, an above-ground tank in the form of a cylindrical tower, 9 meters high and with a capacity of 40 m³, designed to improve water pressure in the municipal network.
