The events, as reported by SAMU 061, occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Carrefour Shopping Center on General Riera street.
An establishment worker, under circumstances that are being investigated, was run over by a truck that was reversing and became trapped.
The 061 paramedics managed to stabilize the man, who was transferred to Son Espases University Hospital with multiple traumas.
Although apparently the man, 52 years old, was working at the time of the accident, the events are being investigated as a traffic incident.
Agents from the Traffic Accident Unit (UVAC) of the Local Police of Palma have taken over the case and expect to gather all information about the incident to clarify the facts.
