Labor Inspection sanctions Aena for an irregular contract at Menorca airport
The organization considers serious the temporary hiring of a worker for production circumstances when, according to CCOO, a substitution contract corresponded
PalmaThe Labor Inspectorate has sanctioned Aena for a serious infraction related to the hiring of a worker at Menorca Airport, as reported by CCOO, the union that had denounced the facts.
According to the union, the company formalized a temporary contract with the worker due to production circumstances, but the Labor Inspectorate considered that the appropriate modality would have been a replacement contract.
CCOO maintains that the report drawn up by the Labor Inspectorate endorses the complaint filed by the union and considers that the resolution may help to prevent hiring that, according to its interpretation, is carried out in fraud of the law at the Menorcan airport.
The union is now demanding that Aena change its criteria for personnel hiring and argues that the company should adjust contracts to current labor regulations.
CCOO has also pointed out that it hopes the sanction will make Aena's management take into account its proposals and warnings regarding the working conditions of the airport's employees.
