PalmaA controversial song, in a tone of humor and protest, has been the response from the Germans Honk! and Der Partycrasher against the protests regarding typical tourism in the Ballermann 6, where is the street of Mall, area linked to German party and binge drinking tourism. The title, Mallehater go home, is already quite a statement of intent. The song mixes two concepts: on one hand, the motto 'go home' and, on the other hand, 'Malle', the colloquial way in which part of German society refers to Mallorca.
In short, both the title and the melody of the song mean that those who must leave the Balearic Islands are the people who hate the tourism of Malle. Malle is a term from German tourism slang to refer to the island and is often linked to the imagery of a tourism model based on excess and permanent partying.
The first stanza of the song reproduces comments that tourists from Mallorca receive in Germany: "Ballermann is only for antisocials", "Everyone here is a radical", "Only idiots are in Mallorca". The song lashes out against these statements, vindicating this type of tourism.
The artists have already recorded several videos with signs where, accompanied by a hand showing the middle finger, they once again reinforce their message: "Those who hate German tourism are the ones who must leave the Balearic Islands".
