PalmThe National Police have arrested a man in Palma for allegedly abusing and sexually assaulting at least five women, one of whom was a minor at the time of the incidents. The judge has ordered his pretrial detention while the investigation continues. According to the Balearic Islands Police Headquarters, the incidents were investigated by agents of the Family and Women's Unit (UFAM) following initial complaints from two women. One stated that, years earlier, she had been drugged and subsequently sexually assaulted. The second victim explained that she had been in a relationship with the arrested man, during which she suffered continuous psychological abuse. The police investigation led to the identification of three more victims. Two reported waking up on several occasions in the alleged perpetrator's home, naked, bruised, and with no memory of what had happened.

The fifth woman explained that she had a relationship with the man when she was still a minor and that she suffered sexual assault and psychological abuse. She also indicated that the detainee had shown her sexually explicit audiovisual material in which she appeared as a minor. The victims provided conversations, images, and other evidence, and officers seized the man's mobile phone to analyze whether it contained incriminating material. The investigation remains open.
