A man drowns after his car plunges into the port of Ciutadella

PalmA 67-year-old man died Thursday night after his vehicle plunged into the sea at the Port of Ciutadella, according to SAMU 061. The incident occurred around 9:17 p.m., when the coordination center received an alert about the vehicle falling into the water. Initially, the number of people inside the car was unknown. An Advanced Life Support Unit, a Basic Life Support Unit, and a doctor from the Ciutadella Primary Care Center (PAC) were dispatched. Firefighters rescued a single person in cardiac arrest, but he died after attempts to resuscitate him.
