Always according to this witness, the suspect “had the phone hidden in some shoes”. The family also fears that the minor may have been recorded without consent: “We don't know if he filmed our granddaughter while she was naked, because they were removing sand from her”. The situation caused moments of tension when one of the daughters and one of the young foreign women decided to confront the man. “When one of the daughters and one of the foreigners confronted him and asked him to show what was on the phone, he started running”, assures the complainant. After the events, the affected parties alerted the emergency services. “They notified 112 and the beach lifeguards”, explains the witness, who concludes with a warning directed at the rest of the users of the area: “Be alert!”.

Without surveillance personnel

Sources from the Muro Local Police admit that it is "already happening" that they receive complaints about people recording bathers on the beach, as well as cases of exhibitionism in various points of the municipality's coastline. The situation occurred between Joglars street and the Albufera fishermen's area, a stretch of coast that leads to a dead-end street and which, according to police sources, can encourage uncivil behavior when there is little surveillance. "We received the alert, but we couldn't go because there was no patrol. In other years there was more police presence; rounds were made on the beach in uniform to try to control this area, as there was no fixed patrol. We don't have a beach patrol, but this year our resources are not enough," admit sources from the municipal corps.

The Local Police point out that these types of situations are not isolated and that, especially during the summer season, alerts for inappropriate or potentially criminal behavior in bathing areas are reinforced. They also emphasize the difficulty of providing an immediate response at specific moments due to a lack of available personnel, although efforts are made to cover the most sensitive points when resources allow.
