A man is seriously injured after falling seven meters while canyoning in Sóller

PalmaA 51-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling from a height of seven meters while practicing canyoning in the torrent de les Llemes, in the municipality of Sóller. The accident, as reported by SAMU, took place around 1 p.m. this Tuesday.

The man was canyoning in the stream when, for circumstances that are currently unknown, he fell from a height of seven meters. The Mallorca Firefighters rescued the victim by helicopter, who was in an area of difficult access, and transferred her to the ambulance. The injured person, who presented with multiple injuries, was evacuated in serious condition to the Son Espases University Hospital.
