More than 5,000 people arrive in Lluc after the Walk to the Part Forana
The 45th Walk to Lluc on Foot from the Part Forana has gathered participants from 45 municipalities in a walk marked by tradition and the spirit of brotherhood
LlucMore than 5,000 people from 45 municipalities of Mallorca arrived this Sunday morning at the sanctuary of Lluc after completing the 45th Lluc a Peu Walk from the Part Forana. The walk took place throughout the early morning without incidents and brought together participants for religious reasons, to maintain a tradition, or simply to share the route with family and friends.
The walk has been organized for the second year by the Council of Mallorca, which took over the organization after the Antics Blauets de Lluc announced that they could no longer be responsible for the activity due to a lack of resources. Nevertheless, the Blauets remained present throughout the day and participated in the reception of the walkers at the sanctuary.
Once in Lluc, the participants were welcomed with hot chocolate. The day continued with a gathering of giants and a welcome ceremony, during which the various participating towns made an offering with bouquets and local products.
The events concluded with a mass presided over by the Bishop of Mallorca, Sebastià Taltavull, accompanied by the Choir of the Former Blauets.
