Motorcyclist dies in car accident in Palma
Despite the efforts of the medical teams, the victim died at the scene.
PalmA 38-year-old motorcyclist died this Saturday in Palma after colliding with a car on Indalecio Prieto Street, in the Son Gotleu neighborhood. According to information from SAMU 061 (the emergency medical service), the accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. and the motorcyclist suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. An advanced life support ambulance, a logistics vehicle, and a command vehicle were dispatched to the scene and attended to the patient. Despite the efforts of the medical teams, the motorcyclist died at the scene. The accident occurred at number 50 Indalecio Prieto Street when, according to the initial investigation by the Local Police, the car crossed into the oncoming lane to make a left turn, colliding with the motorcycle. The driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman, tested negative for alcohol and drugs, according to the police. Initial hypotheses suggest that the car did not yield the right of way to the motorcycle.
