New tourist exploitation model in Ibiza: Uber offers boat rentals
The company sells it as an opportunity to "discover little-known places on the island"
PalmaA new model of tourism and territorial exploitation arrives in the Balearic Islands. The Uber platform has announced the launch in Ibiza of Uber Boat by Clic&Boat, a new service that allows booking boat trips with a professional skipper directly from the app.
As reported in a statement, the service has been available since this Wednesday in Ibiza, as well as in Lisbon and the French Côte d'Azur.
With this launch, Uber is expanding its offering so that travelers can discover destinations like Ibiza in a different way, and, from now on, tourists will be able to book boat experiences directly from the same app with which they organize their trips.
Uber's General Manager, Felipe Fernández, pointed out that thousands of people already use Uber to get around during their holidays. "Now we want them to also be able to easily access unique experiences at their destination," he stated, before reiterating that it is easy to discover places like Ibiza from a different perspective.
Users can check and book a selection of available boats on Clic&Boat directly through the Uber app. The price varies according to the season, duration, number of passengers, and type of vessel.
