To mark the celebration of December 31st, the review is carried out in a particularly thorough way to ensure that En Figuera correctly completes all its cycles.

Centenary clock

The Cort clock was built in 1863 and, more than a century later, in 1964, underwent its first restoration, which included electrification. At that time, three motors were installed, allowing the clock in Figuera to wind automatically twice a day, at 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The second restoration was carried out approximately five years ago and included the incorporation of new parts to improve its functioning and conservation.

With this intervention, Biel Julià once again guarantees the correct functioning of the Cort clock in view of one of the most anticipated events of the year, a task that the clockmaker also performs periodically throughout the rest of the 365 days, thus ensuring the accuracy of the clock.
