Nine arrested after a brawl on a plane about to take off at Palma airport

PalmThe Civil Guard has arrested nine people for allegedly causing a disturbance on board a plane about to take off from Son Sant Joan Airport. The incident occurred on Thursday night. As the plane was about to take off, an altercation broke out among some passengers, forcing the captain to abort the maneuver and alert the Civil Guard. Airport security officers boarded the plane, arrested the nine suspects, and escorted them off the aircraft. The flight was then able to continue its route normally. On Friday, a court in Palma ordered the release of the nine people—seven men and two women—who had been arrested. The detainees appeared before the judicial authorities on Friday morning as alleged perpetrators of a public disorder offense.

After appearing before the duty judge, all of them were released, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources close to the investigation.
