Palma will make a new road to build more than 600 homes in Son Puigdorfila

PalmaThe Urban Planning Management of the Palma City Council approved this Tuesday an amendment to the General Urban Development Plan (PGOU) to incorporate a new road linked to the development of the strategic residential project of Son Puigdorfila, where it is planned to build more than 600 homes, more than half of which will have some form of protection. The action provides for the opening of Carrer del Pensament to guarantee the accessibility of the future residential area and connect it with the existing road network, as reported by the City Council in a statement.

The agreement establishes that the cost of executing the new infrastructure will be assumed by the compensation board of the Son Puigdorfila project. This expenditure is part of the obligation to ensure that new urban developments are connected to the urban road network. Last week, the City Council approved the constitution of the compensation board for the residential project, a step in the processing of an operation that provides for the construction of more than 600 homes.

Likewise, the Urban Planning Management has authorized the construction of a multi-family building with 196 homes at the former Son Simonet barracks. The project also includes three premises on the ground floor, 297 parking spaces, and 132 storage rooms, distributed on the underground floors.
