ANACA respects the City Council's right to submit its own objections to the open procedure, but the platform believes that the debate on an infrastructure of this magnitude should be approached through "institutional dialogue, transparency, and a rigorous analysis of the available technical reports." In this regard, ANACA points out that the same technical report commissioned by the City Council from the Balearic Center for Applied Biology (CBBA) concludes that the alternative route through the Bay of Alcúdia presents "less environmental impact than the alternative route through the Bay of Pollença." The platform notes that the objections submitted by the City Council do not raise concerns about the route through the Bay of Pollença nor do they propose the alternative route through the Bay of Alcúdia, even though the same technical report commissioned by the City Council identifies this option as having the least environmental impact.

ANACA believes this situation reinforces the need to reopen the debate on the route and analyze the existing alternatives in greater depth, especially now that a new period for submitting objections to the state procedure has opened. The platform reiterates that its objective from the beginning has been to provide technical information and promote a solution that minimizes the environmental and territorial impacts of the project.
