In 2025, four tourists died and 18 were injured due to the habit of jumping from hotel balconies into pools. British and German tourists are the main victims of balcony jumping, a practice that was widespread a few years ago but has been declining thanks to awareness campaigns in their countries of origin. However, Sant Antoni in Ibiza and Playa de Palma are the areas with the highest number of cases.
