A second forest fire in Muro mobilizes air and ground resources of the Ibanat

PalmaA second forest fire was declared this Monday in the Son Morell area, in the municipality of Muro. The incident has led to the deployment of a large extinguishing team from the Balearic Institute of Nature (Ibanat). The fire, classified with a potential severity level of zero, originated around 2:40 PM.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Natural Environment, 4 aerial resources, 1 fire engine, 22 forest firefighters, and 2 Environmental Agents are participating in the extinguishing efforts.
After 4:00 PM, the flames remained active, although sources from the regional department indicated that the fire is not expected to pose any risk to people or the infrastructures in the area. The teams continue to work to control and extinguish the fire, while the evolution of the flames and meteorological conditions are kept under surveillance.
