PalmaRestauració Mallorca CAEB has warned this Friday to restaurateurs and suppliers of Playa de Palma about the access and mobility restrictions planned for the next August 12, the day of the eclipse. They have also recommended that they anticipate activity planning.

From 12 noon, the roundabouts and accesses to Playa de Palma will be closed to the general public: only residents, workers accredited by a QR enabled by the municipal system, public transport, taxis, Uber, and buses responsible for transferring hotel clients to the airport will be able to access.

Regarding suppliers, access will be limited until 11 a.m. and from that moment on they will not be able to enter Playa de Palma to make deliveries. For this reason, Restauració Mallorca CAEB has recommended advancing deliveries to previous days and resolving the supply of establishments during the previous day.

On the other hand, they have regretted that the restrictions also affect restaurant customers when “many establishments already had practically full occupancy and numerous confirmed reservations, some paid in advance”. According to Restauració Mallorca CAEB, the restrictions will mean a detriment to the establishments and their clients. It has indicated that some have already received cancellations from people who had already organized their reservation and travel.
