PalmaRestauració Mallorca CAEB has warned restaurateurs and suppliers on Platja de Palma this Friday about the access and mobility restrictions planned for August 12, the day of the eclipse. They have also recommended that they anticipate activity planning.

From 12:00 PM, the roundabouts and access points to Platja de Palma will be closed to the general public: only residents, workers accredited with a QR code enabled by the municipal system, public transport, taxis, Uber, and buses responsible for transferring hotel guests to the airport will be able to access.

Regarding suppliers, access will be limited until 11:00 AM and from then on they will not be able to enter Platja de Palma to make deliveries. Therefore, Restauració Mallorca CAEB has recommended advancing deliveries to previous days and resolving the supply of establishments during the previous day.

Likewise, they have regretted that the restrictions also affect restaurant customers when "many establishments had already secured practically full occupancy and with numerous confirmed reservations, some paid in advance." According to Restauració Mallorca CAEB, the restrictions will be detrimental to establishments and customers. It has indicated that some have already received cancellations from people who had already organized their reservation and travel.
