PalmFrom this Tuesday until August 16, the Colonia de Sant Pere Cultural Center will host a charity exhibition by the ADA-Món Adivasi Foundation, which is developing several projects in India. The participating artists include Ferran Aguiló, Mónica Abad, Paz Alomar, Carmen Bermejo, Nacha Pomar, Miguel Sánchez Cuenca, Maribel Pomar, and José María Herrera. The opening hours are from 7 to 10 p.m.
Access to education, healthcare, and social justice are the focal points of the projects the Foundation carries out in different parts of India, such as Nashik, Nandunbar, Vasai, and Kolad, following the legacy of the Jesuit missionaries Federico Sopeña and Perico Massa. In addition to youth and adult education, the organization works to empower indigenous women and raise awareness about the reality of these peoples.
The Foundation's members are volunteers, and the money raised goes directly to the projects, without intermediaries.
