PalmaThe 16th Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest (AMFF) takes place in Palma from July 24 to August 2, with over a hundred premieres, concerts, and international guests such as Gael García Bernal and Alexandre Desplat. In contrast, the online edition on the Filmin platform extends until August 24. Below, we highlight some of the most notable proposals of this edition of the AMFF.

‘Chicho or while the body holds out’. World premiere of the restored version of this feature film by Fernando Trueba dedicated to the singer-songwriter Chicho Sánchez Ferlosio (Thursday, July 30, at 9 p.m., at La Misericòrdia).

'In the gray zone'. Guy Ritchie's film premieres in Spain at the AMFF (Friday, July 31, 9 p.m., at La Misericòrdia), with the presence of actor Carlos Bardem.

Gael García Bernal, encounter and Master. The Mexican actor receives another of the Master of Cinema awards of this edition (Saturday, August 1, 9:30 p.m., at La Misericòrdia). Previously, he has an encounter with the public at Es Baluard (12 p.m.).

Alexandre Desplat, Master of Cinema. The French film score composer gives a talk at Es Baluard (Sunday, August 2, 12 p.m.) and in the evening, he is presented with the Master of Cinema award (at 8:30 p.m., at La Misericòrdia).

‘Memories of a Girl’. State premiere of the adaptation of a novel by Annie Ernaux. The director, Judith Godrèche, and the actress Tess Barthélemy, mother and daughter in real life, will be present at the screening (August 2, at 5 p.m., at Sala Rívoli). Godrèche was the most prominent promoter of the MeToo movement in France.
