Pilar, in tears at the Palma plenary session: "I have contributed for 40 years and now I sleep in the car"

PalmaPilar López Cabrera explained this Thursday, in tears during the Palma plenary session, the situation she is experiencing after having lost her home. "I am Spanish and have 40 years of contributions," she remarked during her speech.
Pilar explained that for years she lived in a rental home on Joan Crespí street, which this summer passed into the hands of an investment fund. According to her account, the fund sent intermediaries to her and at one point they even offered her 60,000 euros. Subsequently, another person allegedly offered her 10,000 euros.
Pilar's economic situation is especially complicated, as she explained herself. She claims she receives a pension of 480 euros.
The loss of this last home has left her in a situation of vulnerability. Pilar explained that she left the Gerónimo Pou hostel on June 22nd and that during the months of July and August she had to sleep in her car.
During this time, according to what she related, she had to wash herself in establishments like Eroski or Mercadona and showered every morning at the Ciutat Jardí showers.
