The eviction of a disabled woman in Sencelles has been suspended.
The person who was to be evicted has a 41% disability
PalmThe eviction of a disabled woman from her home in Sencelles, scheduled for Tuesday, was suspended by the judicial commission after accepting a written statement in which the woman argues, among other things, a lack of standing. The eviction was set for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, but the judicial commission, which had arrived at the woman's home—she has a 41% disability and now has ten days to file an appeal—halted the eviction. In the statement submitted to a court in Inca, the woman argues a lack of standing, since the eviction request was filed by a bank, although the property is registered in the name of an individual. The woman also points to her disability, as she had applied for legal aid, which was denied because the fact that she is currently in the process of separating, although she is listed as married, was not taken into account. The victim has also filed a complaint alleging she may have been scammed in the rental of the property, where she moved in last December.
