The Güell to Lluc March celebrates its 52nd edition this Saturday: schedules, route and road closures

PalmaThe Güell to Lluc a Peu March will celebrate its 52nd edition this Saturday, August 1st, consolidated as one of the most massive events of the summer in Mallorca. The walk will maintain the traditional 48-kilometer route between Plaça del Güell in Palma and the Lluc monastery, with an official start at 11 PM.

The main novelty this year is the incorporation of a support service for people with reduced mobility, which can be requested during the registration process. The organization has highlighted that this measure aims to facilitate the participation of more people in an event declared an Activity of Municipal Public Interest by the Palma City Council.

Early registrations have been available since July 9th and can be completed until this Friday, both at the tables set up in Plaça d'Espanya and through the website www.grupguell.es. The price remains at 10 euros per participant and includes the bib.

For those who have not registered previously, there will still be the option to do so this Saturday at Plaça del Güell until 10 PM. The distribution of bibs and necessary materials will extend until 11 PM, just before the start of the march. The organization reminds that it is essential to keep the bib throughout the entire route to be able to use the return service once the walk has finished.

Traffic and EMT disruptions

The march will also entail traffic restrictions in the area of Plaça del Güell and Aragó street. The first closures will begin at 6 p.m. and the circuit will be completely closed from 10 p.m. onwards.

These restrictions will affect several EMT Palma lines – 3, L33, L39, L40, and N4 – which will partially modify their route during Saturday afternoon and night. The City Council recommends consulting the alternative routes through the mobile app or the EMT website before traveling.
