The mother-in-law assassin in Pere Garau is admitted to Son Espases Psychiatry

PalmaThe woman arrested for murdering her mother-in-law in the Pere Garau neighborhood (Palma) has been admitted to Son Espases hospital by psychiatric prescription. Sources close to the case have indicated that after undergoing a psychiatric examination, her admission was recommended, although in principle it is not believed that she suffers from any kind of disorder. The woman is admitted to the detainees' module and is monitored at all times by police officers.

On the other hand, the National Police investigation determines that the murderer of the mother-in-law in the Pere Garau neighborhood (Palma) killed her with a violent blow with a blunt object. It was this assault that caused her injuries incompatible with life. However, according to sources close to the case, the agents of the Homicide Unit are still awaiting the results of the autopsy to confirm it definitively.

The main hypothesis points to the fact that the suspect, after arguing with her mother-in-law, hit her several times with a blunt object and killed her. In fact, during the on-site inspection, the agents observed that the body presented multiple bruises and signs of violence.

The arrested woman, who went escorted on Tuesday to the apartment in the Pere Garau neighborhood where the events occurred to reconstruct them, has assured investigators that she acted in self-defense.

The events occurred on Monday at the home where the suspect and the victim, aged 73, lived. It was the deceased woman's son who found the lifeless body inside the dwelling and alerted the Emergency services.

The first to arrive at the scene were several agents of the Local Police of Palma, who managed to intercept the suspect, a 36-year-old woman, as she was near the building's entrance with the intention of fleeing.
