As Venbalears explained, the material will be distributed directly to hospitals and medical centers in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, many of which are saturated due to the emergency. The association has indicated that it will manage the funds raised and that a person of its "absolute trust" will be in charge of purchasing and delivering the supplies on the ground.

To ensure the transparency of the process, the entity has committed to publishing the receipts of the income received, the invoices of the purchases made and the documentary evidence of the deliveries.

In addition to the solidarity campaign, Venbalears has organized a prayer in memory of the victims, the injured and their families. The religious service is scheduled for this Thursday at 8:00 PM at the church of Sant Francesc in Palma.

The acting president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, has warned that the number of victims could still increase, as the count does not currently include the state of La Guaira, declared a disaster zone after the collapse of dozens of buildings.
