They evict an entire building after the roof of a home collapsed in Palma

PalmA building in the Foners neighborhood of Palma was partially evacuated this Monday afternoon after the roof collapsed and fell into the dining room of a home. No injuries were reported, as confirmed by the Palma City Council.

The incident took place around 4:00 PM in a property located at number 17 on Sant Novici street, where the roof collapsed and directly affected one of the apartments. As a precaution, the evacuation of blocks A and B of the building, as well as the top floor of block C, was ordered. In total, 16 homes were evacuated.

Palma Firefighters, Palma Local Police officers, and social services teams were dispatched to the scene, attending to residents and assessing the building's condition. According to municipal sources, residents were able to leave their homes without suffering personal injury, while work continues to determine the structural state of the building and the possible causes of the collapse.
