They evict an entire building after the roof of a dwelling collapsed in Palma

PalmaA building in the Foners neighborhood of Palma was partially evacuated this Monday afternoon after its roof collapsed and fell into the dining room of a dwelling. No injuries were reported, as confirmed by the Palma City Council.

The incident occurred around 4:00 PM in a property located at number 17 on Sant Novici street, where the roof collapsed and directly affected one of the apartments. As a precaution, the evacuation of blocks A and B of the building, as well as the top floor of block C, was ordered. In total, 16 homes were evacuated.

Firefighters from Palma, agents from the Palma Local Police, and social services teams were dispatched to the scene. They attended to the residents and assessed the condition of the property. According to municipal sources, the residents were able to leave their homes without suffering personal injury, while work continues to determine the structural state of the building and the possible causes of the collapse.
