They find the body of a man in Ibiza
The Civil Guard is investigating the case, after receiving the alert from a resident of the area
PalmaThe Civil Guard is investigating the discovery of the lifeless body of a man found this Monday at sea, off the coast of Santa Eulària, in Ibiza. The corpse was in an advanced state of decomposition and carried no documentation that would allow its identity or origin to be determined.
As reported by the Civil Guard, a private individual gave the alert around 3 p.m. after seeing the body approximately half a nautical mile from the area known as Caló del Gat.
Members of the Underwater Activities Specialist Groups (GEAS) traveled to the indicated point and, around 5 p.m., recovered the body. It is a man who carried no documentation or clothing, according to the Armed Institute.
The corpse was subsequently transferred to the port of Ibiza, where the body was exhumed. The Civil Guard is keeping the investigation open to determine the identity and clarify the circumstances of the case.
