Dog rescued from house fire in Palma

PalmThe Palma Local Police have rescued a dog in a house fire in Palma. According to the force, the intervention took place in a fire that broke out on the ground floor of a four-story building located on Mochuelo street.A call to 092 alerted about smoke coming from inside the building. Within minutes, agents from the Community Proximity Team (ECOP) had moved to the scene and confirmed the presence of dense smoke.
Due to the lack of response to repeated knocks on the door, the Palma Fire Department and a 061 ambulance have been activated as a precaution. A patrol from the Immediate Intervention Unit (UII) also arrived to provide support.Once the firefighters arrived, they managed to access the home through a window and extinguish an electrical fire that appears to have originated from a speaker located in the closet of a room.During the inspection of the home, officers located a small dog inside a smoke-filled room and rescued it.The events occurred while the owners were not at home. In this situation, the presence of personnel from the Municipal Health Center for Animal Protection (Csmpa) was requested. Before the transfer, the owner of the property and the animal came to the location and took charge of the dog.This happened this Tuesday, April 28, around 9:19 AM.
