Twelve fire groups and Xanguito will light up the Sant Joan festival in Palma at the Parc de la Mar
The festival will begin with the arrival of the Flame of Language and will include children's and adult fire runs, bot dance, a proclamation and the final concert by Xanguito
PalmaThe Sant Joan's Eve celebration in Palma will offer children's and adult's correfocs, music, ball de bot, and a concert by the group Xanguito, as part of the programming organized in Parc de la Mar for next June 23.
As announced this Tuesday by the Councilor for Education, Social Services, Citizen Participation and Equality, Lourdes Roca, at a press conference, the celebration will also include the lighting of the bonfire by the arrival of the Flama de la Llengua, a proclamation, and the participation of a dozen fire beast groups in the main correfoc of the night. The day will begin at 8:00 PM with the lighting of the bonfire by the Flama de la Llengua, in which the OCB will participate.
Fifteen minutes later (8:15 PM), a children's correfoc will start with the participation of the Enfocats, Kinfumfa, Patits Encabritats, and Realment Cremats groups. At 9:00 PM, there will be a traditional music and ball de bot performance by the group Al-Mayurqa. Afterwards, at 10:00 PM, the festival's proclamation will take place, and twenty minutes later, the Federation of Residents' Associations of Palma will deliver an institutional greeting to the attendees.
The main correfoc will start at 10:30 PM with the participation of the Enfocats, Realment Cremats, Kinfumfa, les Germanies, Illa Galera, Maleïts Encabritats, Drac i Guardians de Sant Jordi, Òliba de la Real, el Drac de na Coca, Trabucats, el Cau del Boc Negre, and Incubus groups and fire beasts. The programming will conclude at 11:30 PM with a concert by Xanguito.
