Two 70-year-olds seriously injured in car accident in Petra
They have been transferred to the Manacor Hospital
PalmA 70-year-old man and woman were seriously injured in a serious traffic accident that occurred just after 8:00 a.m. at kilometer 3 of the Ma-3310 road, which runs from the Es Cruce roundabout to Petra, near the Cova road.
For unknown reasons, two vehicles collided in a section where visibility was initially good. One of the two vehicles hit the road and bounced off the sidewalk and caught fire, while the other remained across the road.
Given the spectacular nature of the flames and the danger they posed, numerous drivers stopped and, after calling 112, helped the people involved in the impact. These people managed to help the person driving the burning Volkswagen vehicle, as she was trapped and in danger.
An ambulance from the SAMU (National Emergency Medical Service) and the Mallorca Fire Brigade were dispatched to the scene. The man and woman were taken to Manacor Hospital.
