Two youth players from RCE Mallorca arrested for recording a sexual relationship with a minor

PalmaTwo footballers from RCE Mallorca's academy, one of them a minor, have been arrested in Palma for allegedly secretly recording a sexual encounter between one of the youths and a minor, according to sources close to the case who confirmed to Europa Press.

The events are said to have occurred on August 14. According to the same sources, the two youths went to a home in Palma with the minor. One of the footballers, who is of legal age, allegedly had consensual sexual relations with the young woman while the other, a minor, allegedly hid in a closet to record the scene without her knowledge.

Both are accused of a presumed crime of corruption of minors, while the investigation also seeks to clarify whether the adult youth had any type of relationship with the minor. The investigation will now have to determine the exact circumstances of the events and the scope of the recording. The fact that one of the investigated parties and the victim are minors means their identities are being kept anonymous.

For its part, RCE Mallorca has communicated that, as soon as it became aware of the facts, it initiated an internal investigation with the aim of clarifying what happened.

Once the corresponding procedure was completed, and after analyzing the facts and the concurrent circumstances, it has decided to terminate the contract of both players, which means they are no longer part of the entity. The club has reiterated its commitment to compliance with internal rules and with the values that must govern the behavior of all members of the club.
