PalmThe 64-year-old woman, who died this Tuesday in a fire that broke out early in the morning in a house in the Vivero neighborhood of Palma, suffered from Diogenes syndrome, according to several neighbors.

As a result of the fire, three neighbors were evacuated due to smoke inhalation during the intervention, although they were able to return to their homes because there was no risk of poisoning or the building collapsing.

At just after 00:40 hours, the Emergency Services were notified of a fire on the third floor of a building at 15 Carrer de l'Ametler, in Palma. Police, Firefighters, and 061 personnel were dispatched to the scene. When they arrived, they found the woman dead inside the house and were unable to do anything to save her life.

In addition, two police officers and a resident were treated by an Advanced Life Support unit from 061, although neither required transportation. SAMU 061 also activated a Basic Life Support unit and a Rapid Intervention Vehicle to respond to the fire.
