Young people from Mallorca for the Language reject Estrella Damm's collaboration following the closure of Agama

PalmYoung people from Mallorca for the Language will not be serving Estrella Damm beer during the Acampallengua celebration after it was revealed that the Catalan company has decided to close Mallorca's main dairy company.

As reported dBalears.cat And ARA Baleares has been able to confirm through sources close to Jóvenes de Mallorca por la Lengua (Young People of Mallorca for Language), that they consider it "incompatible" to have the logo of Unió de Pagesos and Agama on the same poster, which has shown itself to be "against" the primary sector and the food sovereignty of the Islands.

Currently, the youth organization is exploring other options with Damm for the 2026 Correllengua event, although they are not ruling out potential collaborations in future editions. Damm recently announced that it will maintain the traditional Laccao recipe as a 100% Catalan product, although in practice this will complete the brand's disassociation from the island, despite it being one of the archipelago's most traditional and recognized beverages, founded in 1958.
